    1. I would HIGHLY recommend offering a discount or such for those who have participated in the previous book club to join the new one.
It is a standard for most book clubs.
I know it would make me feel more appreciated and influence my signing up.

      • Pat, you are very much appreciated! I am so glad you were part of our first-ever book club. At this time, I do not foresee my having the time it would take to create the mechanism for a discount, but I will keep it in mind for our future book clubs. How much of a discount do most book clubs offer?

    2. Dear Barbara,

Last Friday, I attended “Should you be a life coach” which was really interesting. You mentioned the Coaching Training which will start in November in Frankfurt and you also said that you would teach your students on how to get clients and work with them on Skype.
Unfortunately, I cannot afford the workshop. I just quit my job because I would love to give trainings on complaint management on the basis of non-violent communication. This has been a dream for me for the last 2 years and now I just decided to quit my exhausting and not fulfilling job and start with my dream. However, being a single mother of two, I have to make sure that money comes in.

Now my question for you would be: Is there any chance, I can have only the training on how to get clients? Is there any chance to get your input on that and how much would you charge for it?

      Looking forward to your reply.

      Best regards,
      BW

      • I’m afraid there’s no way I can do that. There are over 4 parts to it – one is the marketing bump you get by being a ‘Barbara Sher Coach,’ and on my website. I admire non-violent communication enormously, but it’s not what I teach, so you couldn’t use my name. If you were in the class (and I do understand, and I’m very sorry you can’t be) you could be a Barbara Sher Coach, and complaint management with non-violent communication could be one of your specialties. Another part is being involved in the community of your class. There are a number of things my students will do together, or learn to do that help promote each other. And there are a number of other elements in the ‘passive marketing’ I teach in the class. But I was under the impression that non-violent communication people had their own community and their own sites that would help you, no?

    3. Dear Barbara:
      I just read your book.
      Your wonderful.
      Your terrible.
      Your wonderfully terrible.
      Your terribly wonderful.
Ohh . . you know what I mean.
      Your fan, Edward

        • I had just finished I Could Do Anything . . And now I am reading Refuse to Choose. Thank you for saving what you have learned in life and sharing it all with us. It has certainly helped me to put things in perspective and think about choices in a different way. Everything can be useful, even if we can’t quite see what it is just yet.
          Your fan, Edward

    4. I am not on Facebook, Twitter, et al, but I DO want to record my LIKE “thingie” for BARBARA SHER…hip-hip-hooray! Long Live Barbara!!!! I am a super-fan (though not too active bc my work-work keeps my time way too constrained!!! I am trying (very, very laggingly (not sure that’s a word, but no matter) to catch up with the Book Club: LIKE thingies equally to Patty Newbold for leading this club!!!

    5. I still am unable to get any previous emails but those posted today. I have waited a few days to check back to see if it would get fixed. Nada. How can I get my money back? This is ridiculous.

      • There was nothing to fix, Knella, and nothing worthy of the label “ridiculous.” You were looking then for the Older Comments links, added when your group leaves too many comments on a page to display them all at once, and you were looking for them on pages with few comments to have one. Tonight, you commented on an exercise due 3 days from now. That page does not have an Older Comments link yet, either.

Check out Chapter Three, Exercise 1: “Meaningful Work” in your group’s pages. The link is just below the first Leave a Reply form. The link also appears now on every page with comments before this exercise.

As for emails, you are subscribed to some but not all of the pages, and until tonight only to replies to your own posts. We do not mail comments posted before you subscribe. We mail them as they are posted, only to those with subscriptions, and only if they meet the criterion you set (all vs. replies only).

We offered a money-back guarantee through May 28th, 11 days after you joined us and had a chance to try out the format we’re using.

    6. Hi Barbara,I am not able to away to Germany this year. Do you have any other curriculum available that I can use in my group coaching?
      Thank you! Mary

      • Oh Mary, I wish I’d heard from you before the book club closed on May 22. It would have been perfect for you. Everyone’s going through I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was together, with doing the exercises together, and just started the second week. I don’t know if it’s possible to join now, but let me know if you want me to ask Patty Newbold, who’s running it.
The other option is to become a Success Team leader. The training program uses Wishcraft as a text, and it gets rave reviews. If you don’t know about Success Teams, go to http://www.shersuccessteams.com and look around. See what you think, and let me know if that’s helpful.
        Best regards,
        Barbara

    7. Dearest Barbara,
we hope, you had a save travel back home on monday.
When we came back to the hotel, I was a little sad, because I realized, I really missed you!!

Thank you sooooo much for the Zuerich-Days, with the great seminar and extra time together and later including Hajo.
I would love to send you some fotos and private infos, as it is okay to you.

Will you give me your email, please?
      Hope to keep in touch/contact.

      Biiiiiig Hug
      Beate

      • Hi Dear Beate
It’s been such a whirlwind here I don’t know if I answer you or not. Do you have my email address? If not, I’ll write you.

    8. Hello. I would like to cancel my membership in the Book Club. Will you please let me know if a refund of the $77 is possible? Thank you. Kristin Xander

    9. Just a tip: you can have your computer “read” aloud for you through the accessibility section of your control panel. Also, you can increase font size by holding the CTRL key and press the + sign (making it small again by holding CTRL and pressing the – sign)
      hope that helps 🙂
