    5. I’m much more auditory than visual. So, heh…. this last week staying at a friend’s while relocating (or attempting to relocate), I put the windup alarm clock in a file cabinet drawer. One night that wasn’t enough: I found that my earlier accidental technique of stuffing it upside down in an envelope of papers helped the most. Ticky clocks – augh!

      I’ve left a lot of places – and not stayed in college dorms in my teens or twenties – because of sensitivity to noise. Wonder why so many people advertising apartments or rooms to rent say “quiet” when so few people care or notice?

      Once I bought a $2 sound effects machine secondhand. Couldn’t use it long: the cricket sound file went chirp-chirp-chirp-chirp, then pause, then the same four chirps again. That drove me nuts. Probably would do that for anyone who’s musical, mathematical, and scientific; it doesn’t take all that background to hear a 4-beat measure and a half rest, repeat, repeat.

      So that’s what life is like for the hearing person. The primarily auditory person anyway. Now the new idea to me is to hear music in everything….. that is neat!

          • Hey Paul this was frustrating me too. You can at least get to the Ideas Party section (part of the free stuff) by going to the Start page and clicking the “comic” Join the Ideas Party there. “Your Free Kickstarter” works similarly. Hope this helps!
