Hi Barbara , just discovered you 2 days ago but I may have heard about your book
” Wishcraft”. I suspect I’m a scanner. Going from one thing to the next and not creating anything lasting. At the age of 61 , going through marriage separation and selling my house due to ongoing debt. I know the power of resourcing through others and am reinspired by finding your work. I want to reconnect with the activities that bring me alive and seek out things I haven’t discovered yet

UPDATE….
So my wish has been to travel and film as a designer creating products or showcasing products in the process of creation by highlighting the artisans. While I love beautiful things, I find connection to be more important. I want connect people through the product, inspire travel, encourage purchasing things with a story, and connecting humanity as a whole.
So I have read Barbara’s book. It, along with Dr. Dispensa has helped me SO MUCH.
Here’s where I need help….
What I did:
I created my promo video, connected with a world trade center locally and shared products I have helped to design.
My contact at the trade center has connections in Thailand. I know little about their products and people compared to my time spend in India or Mexico. (more as a tourist.)
Now the trade commissioner will be looking at my idea to give it consideration. (Gah!)
How do you deal with imposter syndrome? That feeling of “well I’ve done this, I can do this, but I don’t have the degree….What if they just don’t want ME?” “What if people don’t want to follow my story or vision?”
I hoping to “raise a renaissance” with my husband and 6 kids on the crazy journey.
Hi everyone from this Community! I feel so proud to post here my wish and my obstacles. I want to enjoy thriving in helping non-native French-speakers to learn and improve this amazing language. I also want to write a book about my life path.
Originally planned to be released on 2020-02-02 (magic date), my procrastination is tackling and I have not yet take the begin path. I also got so much distracted by social media and by other tasks. The good news is that my website is out. However I still have to dedicate time to improving it and build some content. I have already taken the anti-procrastination path, however it’s so easy to postpone to get things done on that subject.
I want to thank deeply from my heart Barbara, and the dear friend that came to show me her presence and lovely community.

In early 2000’s I attended an event you held in NYC which I’ll never forget. because of you I learned what I’d considered silly, to laugh at myself wasn’t silliness put power. It was a power within me to make others comfortable around me, it was ok to laugh I was already comfortable with me. Thank you for that.
For the past 6 months I’ve had a hard time visioning the dream job that I’d love. I know I need to be ready when the construction community liaison assignment ends near the end of this year or early 2021. My company isn’t obligated to place me on another assignment. I know I must find a stable position but find what I’d really love.
I’ve been asking me how can I pass this invisible boundary to bring increase in income and salary see the direction. I’m very creative, I’m motivated sharing and providing information to as many people as I can. I have books in me. The answer did come around the end of January. I know it because I’d written it, but was afraid to say out loud. I remember feeling expansive as being something I’d really love when the thought came to me. Until today I had shut that idea down.
But here’s my wish to be a TV/Radio presenter/host of a segment and an author. I’d love to be able to share how others can do this or that, to inspire and encourage, swap, find information on so many topics to share. Here’s my obstacle I use to work in entertainment where I thrived but in an administrative capacity. I’m not in entertainment, plus I’ve worked in other un-relative industries and have no connections or recognition in the field. I work for a construction management company now. Here’s what I want is to walk away waving bye to coworkers and step into the job I dreamed of with having a segment on tv where I’m able to talk about that useful thing to make a task easier or about this clothing store with prices that can’t be beat, or having faith in a family storm. Then jump over to the radio station where I’m invited to share the latest topic.
Here’s why I cannot have it, the book’s not completed, I have no illustrator or copy writer, I’m older, I could stand to lose a few pounds, I may not have the right look, I wouldn’t know where to begin, who would I ask to give me a chance, how would I support my self, I’d not be taken seriously having no experience on record whatsoever.

I am a Talk Show and Radio Host and have been doing it for 5 yrs. My talk show is on Fibromyalgia and chronic pain on a local public access channel and my radio show is on Talk Zone Syndicated Radio.
Beauty comes in all shapes. sizes, ethnicities and etc.
I entered this field with no training. Sponsors or support. My focus was not on why I can’t have it.
IMHO you are putting out negative energy and lack confidence. In the beginning you may or may not make money. If this is your passion just do it
It was a goal I set for myself and moved forward.
For me I don’t focus on money. That’s not why I do what I do.
Focus on the content and adding value to your audience. You can reach out to potential sponsors. Also, consider podcasting. If you want to talk 1:1 let me know.

Start creating videos, trying out all the things you would do on that TV show to see what gets attention, who pays attention, what topics do better, which energy level or outrageousness level reaches the most people. Tell your coworkers what you’re doing on YouTube (but perhaps not that it’s the first step out the door) — you may be surprised who knows things and people that can help. A year from now that big, crazy leap will feel more like a tiny hop. After watching your Ted Talk, I realized that nothing in my life has come logically, so I thought I’d take a chance in this little wish/obstacle box on your website, too!
WISH#1: I have developed a business plan that will help people with food, chemical, and immune issues (a seriously growing problem) with a very practical, easy-to-use tool that helps people handle/manage complex health issues and the many relationship obstacles that come with them – from family to physicians. The tool also supports the businesses who are “doing it right” for our health, and for the immune system of the planet. In this era of “big” overpowers common sense and care, we need a tool that lassos some serious consumer power. My wish is to find a well-established and experienced buyer/investor with a head for tech and a heart for humanity and our planet.
OBSTACLE #1: I had just started showing the tool to investors when I got hit with some trauma and a serious relapse of a complex infectious disease from a bug bite. My goal now, is to find a buyer, so that this plan can actually get put into action and do some good – with or without me. Also, its sale will help me complete the long, terrifying process of healing and get some final treatment. My obstacle is that … I am finally in a position where I am much stronger and more stable, but don’t have the time, energy or finances (most medical expenses have been ridiculously high, out-of-pocket and have drained my accounts) to seek out an investor as one normally would. Plus, it does put me at a disadvantage at the negotiation table, since I have had to be quite open about this illness – even here, as illness is my obstacle.
WISH #2: I create fun solutions to serious problems.
I have another business idea that is much simpler, and that mostly runs itself. It is incredibly timely for the soul needs of current humanity- to bring people together around a common theme that is completely non-partisan. It would bring mostly residual income. I come up with ideas, all the time, but this is something I’d really, really like to do.
OBSTACLE #2: Because I am currently housebound, and probably will be for some time, I need to catch up financially. I need help getting this website off the ground. I also need to sell the health-related business plan of Wish #1 – which is already well developed. Finally, I need to set up an online meeting with Kevin Bacon. It’s true. I really do.
Both of these businesses have been vetted by my former CEO roundtable and some successful entrepreneurs. My ultimate goal is to find a niche investor with a desire to help humans solve some of the many problems they face every day, to help them heal, and to make it easier and more fun for people to do great things for each other.
Is there anyone out there with this experience whose interest is piqued?

Thank you very much for your response. I need heavy duty technical help. I am a writer and have enough of a tech & design background to do a website, myself, but need someone who can do some pretty sophisticated programming on the back end – financial tech in the shopping cart, as well as a way to parce and sort chunks of data from a front end piece that users would be able to use. And some financing from someone else to pay for it, because it would take some expertise and time to implement, and also support/trouble shoot once in a while (hopefully only once in a while ;)).

Hi Elisabeth – for sophisticated programming I usually refer to a developer friend, and if he wants to refer you to someone else, he will. Does the site happen to be a WordPress site, and what type of shopping cart does it/ will it have?
BTW, does Kevin Bacon have Twitter? Does he donate to efforts like yours ?
You are very kind to communicate these suggestions, Kathy, thank you. Mr. Bacon does have twitter, and there is a cause attached that he might be very interested in. But, it would be something I would have to speak with him about, and not describe at all, as it is one of those simple ideas that needs a lot of trust. I’m sure he gets hit up constantly for various things, but maybe I can find a clever way to get his attention. As for the programming, I’m not sure what would be the best platform at this point. this particular site isn’t developed at all, just the concept of work and cash flow.
