  1. This is Uda. Bartholomew, and I am a creative lifelong-employability/career coach. I help folks from any education background learn how to find increasingly joyful, Living Wage (or much better) work- no matter what their relationships to the courts are or are not. I’ll be re-launching my practice in a few months, as I am a bit swamped right now

I shared about the possibility of a breakfast, lunch and dinner club to David of Lafayette, who is looking support for executing a Paleo Diet, perhaps with the help of a local dietician/ culinary student-intern-grad and/or http://www.MeetUp.com and/or CraigsList.org.

I heard that David is looking to start a platform like http://www.Ether.com/Keen.com/Ingenio.com I’d love for him to connect with me via my biz voicemail only #: 215-618-1572. He seems to be nearing making a space for many to offer their services to the world!

    Blessings!
    Uda. B. Bartholomew

  2. I read Wishcrraft in 1985, when I came up with my idea of Dream Inc. “helping people achieve their dreams”.
I had a good enough job that was great. So my Dream Inc idea was mainly done for fun and for free with my friends, family and friends.. I have been on Hanging out with Barbara for four years, one of the best things I have ever done.

Barbara has helped me so much to realize my dreams. I love seeing her other “geniuses that she wants to save before she dies.

Thank you for all your stories. I enjoy of them.

    Jim Chandler

  3. Patty – This is such a wonderful summit that you have organized again! I have listened to the last two fabulous speakers! Bravo!

    • So glad you are joining us, Beth. I take no credit — just more proof that the messages people arrive with + Barbara’s great instruction = fascinating workshops and books (and this year, online courses, too).

  4. Today’s Idea Party was terrific. I mentioned my quandary of desperately wanting to be a physical therapist (credentials) so I could help older adults with achieve or maintain mobility throughout their lives but having the obstacles of lack of funding and time. I also mentioned that I have signed up for a CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) workshop which, financially and time-wise is more attainable. Both careers have limitations–a CPT is limited ethically in the population they can serve (ie. complicated health issues need to be addressed by other professionals). On the other hand, physical therapists are hampered by insurance mandates & the current environment that is anti-proactive healthcare and well-being.

So the suggestion to combine what I know and will continue to learn into a writing/speaking career is perfect. I love to write, I can spend endless hours researching articles and studies on health issues and other passionate topics, and I can certainly learn to become a speaker when I’m passionate about my subject. The key thing for me was what Barbara pointed out–that I can reach many, many more people through writing/speaking then I can working with clients one on one. That is a worthy goal. Thank you.

    • So glad you spoke up, Brenda. The CPT credential will be an extra feather in your cap for getting speaking gigs. And you won’t be limited in what you can say or write, only in what you can do hands-on.

  5. Hi, here is María Machón from Berlin. I have given the second workshop today, the one on planning. For anyone looking for buddies to help them to get to work on their dreams and projects I would like to share the link to two of my facebook groups, one for Phd Students, one for the “general public”. What we do there is what Barbara calls “Blockbusters”, also known as to do parties or get it done sessions. You start a post like this: “hi people, in the next hour I am going to work on my abstract/presentation/household/paperwork/…. does anyone want to join”? And people join in. There you can also ask if someone wants to be your buddy.

This is the Virtual coworking group, for everybody:

This is the Time4PhD group for PhD students:

  6. Thanks Patty and Barbara – I already have a hardcover copy of the book – maybe we can regift it to another winner – Thanks – Bennett
